Types of Delivered Work

Program + Project Work Packages Rate:

_________

All workflow pricing is a Component Rate, and part of an overall blend of workflow types, forming an overall project cost. Typically these would be represented as a cost break down, ie 70% WorkFlow, 20% IP Workflow, 10% Architecture Workflow.

These rate(s) are used to calculate a fixed package price in Step 2 Estimation, based on:

_________

WorkFlow Type & Rate:

The current base rate is 600USD/hour, billed in 15-minute increments, for straightforward workflow production for a single point of contact projects.

This rate jumps to 750USD/hour if I am coordinating with more than one person. This is my standard rate for working with an agency or a production team.

This work is provided on a 'as-is' basis, and you retain perpetual lifetime licence to the work, work product and provided materials; however you do not own the materials, source material and/or any associated IP rights.

This work rate is for standard, non-IP transferred workflow.

If rights and IP are important to your project please refer to the below rate guide.

_________

IP Workflow Type & Rate:

The current base rate is 1250USD/hour, billed in 15-minute increments, for work resulting in upto 100% ownership transfer of workflow materials, IP and rights of use. These workflow materials will not be replicated or reproduced in future projects. Ever.

Details: if you or your company require to upto own outright the materials generated from my workflow, then this is the rate for you. Typically, this is a Component Rate, and part of an overall blend of workflow types, forming an overall project cost.

_________

Architecture WorkFlow Rate Type & Rate:

The current base rate is 1800USD/hour, billed in 15-minute increments; for work resulting in developing of AI/AMI Systems, Intelligence Engine(s), Algorithms, ANYTHING covering Articulated Spatial Relativity, Advanced Product Design, High Level Problem Solving, A-Company Strategy Consulting, (basically any of the really good stuff)etc.

This workflow typically has a separate agreement attached covering specific details of Disclosure, usage and rights, but would typically also include upto 100% ownership transfer of workflow materials, IP and rights of use. As Such, as in IP Workflow, These materials will not be replicated or reproduced in future projects.

Details: if you or your company require advanced world leading intelligence injected into your product, company, or project, then this is the rate for you. Typically, this is a Component Rate, and part of an overall blend of workflow types, forming an overall project cost.

General Terms

(estimated number of hours) x (the base rate) +/- Discount/Premium.

Discounts/Premiums may apply for long projects for multiple payments paid in advance, complexity or if i like the project materials/team/cause.

Hourly vs Day: Each type of work has a corresponding day rate. Details on this are provided in the detailed estimate.

Exception: If an “hourly rate agreement” is made, I instead establish a budget of hours (“up to 10 hours”), and monitor use to ensure we do not exceed your budget.I charge only for production and meeting time.

I do NOT bill for research and development, that is not specific to your project. In other words, I don’t bill you for time I spend figuring out HOW to do something; I bill you just for time that actually produces something you can use.

_________

For Simple Projects:

A typical small project would be a concept design, innovation review, component design work, architecture core design block, or something like a sounding board session of two hours, which includes a write-up of the conversation plus a brief.

A small project is one that requires less than 15 hours of time, billed at either:

the current production rate, or a special discount rate.

  • This project type follows a simple path:
    > We talk about what you want to do.
    > We define what we can make that will do the job.

  • We tell you how many hours/storypoints it will take, in increments of 1-2 hours per feature.
    > The hourly rate type is used to estimate the project cost.

  • Typically worktypes are blended for a final structure. You agree and approve.

  • You complete a deposit, typically 50% of the total estimated cost,

  • with a second 50% payment due at 1/2 way milestone for scoped deliverables.

  • I do the work, and in an pre-agreed structured way deliver the workflow to you. You assess approval.

  • If you like it the first 50%, you pay the rest of the payment due.

  • Otherwise, we figure out what needs to happen to make it right.

  • Upon receipt of final payment, you receive all the rights to project materials, based on the associated rights produced for your workflow types. The materials are archived for further use.
